EASA plays a key role at the heart of the European aviation system and the European Plan for Aviation Safety (EPAS) particularly, drives data-driven safety improvement across Europe and beyond. The EPAS is a management system for Europe, and it is vital that through National Level Safety Plans to Management Systems of organisations we understand how the different parts of the process, such as Occurrence Reporting, accident and incident investigation, safety promotion and many others support safety improvement. It is paramount we use our integrated management system to ensure the safety of our system, just completing the different processes themselves does not guarantee safety. We must ensure that we have built a solid safety foundation to cope with a rapidly changing world.
